G-CKOW / KOW (cn 5E260X89) The DG-500 was designed, developed and originally marketed by DG Flugzeugbau. The rights to the model have now passed to the Slovenian company, AMS-Flight. This new acquisition for the Southdown Gliding Club is on the BGA register as BGA5263. |

BGA2973 / EUX (cn 18005) Formerly D-3988. With its fabric-covered tubular-steel fuselage and 16-metre wooden wings, the ASK-18 was Schleicher's last glider of traditional design. This oldie is tucked away in the Southdown Gliding Club hangar along with one of their three tug-planes, this one being Piper PA-23 Pawnee G-BAUC. |

BGA4706 / JQX (cn 21702) The Southdown Flying Club is a very friendly and welcoming place, and an ideal location for your gliding lessons or experience flights. On your very first flight you can take control of one of these ASK-21 gliders. |

BGA4095 / HPL (cn 4959) Three of the Southdown Gliding Club fleet line up for departure from their immaculate field on the side of the South Downs. Unfortunately BGA4706 went out before BGA4095 - we didn't get to see a formation take-off! :-) |

G-AVPY (cn 25-4330) The Piper Pawnee is a great aircraft to shoot - with all those extra spars, wires, rivets, panels and even rear-view mirrors! One of three aircraft used to tow gliders here at the Southdown Gliding Club. |
