N433QX / 433 (cn 4210) Since commencing service to Prescott in August 2008, Horizon Air has since increased the frequency of the flights to 2X daily, connecting both Flagstaff and Los Angeles with Prescott. On a rather cold, cloudy day with the first signs of snow for the upcoming winter, the sun finally popped out from behind the clouds just before sunset as N433QX lines up on runway 03R. |

N4191M (cn 40.769) Although its parent airline is a thing of the past, I was sure surprised to see this relatively new training aircraft for the Sabena Training Center. Based in Mesa, you can see these birds buzzing around many airports in Arizona. N4191M is seen here at Prescott taxiing out for departure. |

N2179L (cn 172S9633) Too low! N2179L was really skimming over the grass prior to this landing. As he crossed the edge of the runway, he was merely a few feet above it! A downdraft would have left him doing a nice soft field touchdown, and a few runway end lights might have been taken out! |

N4131C (cn 2844010) Standing out against the dry Prescott landscape, this PA-28R of the Sabena Training Center speeds into Love Field on a very windy day. A snow-covered Mt. Humphrey stands tall in the background, which although is 60 miles away, can be seen clearly thanks to the great visibility. Nestled on the foot of the mountain is the small town of Flagstaff, which really isn’t that far from Prescott. |

N540ER (cn 172S10567) A busy night at Prescott. There were 4 ERAU C172s doing closed traffic patterns. Two on 21R and another two on 21L. You will also notice one of them performed a go-around on 21R. The longest streak was made by a helicopter performing a straight-ish in approach for 21L. Nikon D90 70-300 IF-ED VR 11min exposure. |

N900AU / 00 (cn 185-5104) Due to a nearby brush fire, two P-3 Orions and a P-2 Neptune temporarily made PRC their firefighting base. During the fire season, these tankers are quite common at PRC. It's always impressive to watch these beasts use the whole runway, as they're filled all the way up with slurry! |
