FAE907 "Museo Aeronautico de la Fuerza Aerea Ecuatoriana" Ecuador took delivery of Kfir fighters in the early 1980's. They saw combat during the Cenepa War which opposed Ecuador to Peru. A Kfir, like the one in the picture, was credited with shooting down a Peruvian A-37B Dragonfly on February 10th, 1995. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm]

***** "Museo Aeronautico de la Fuerza Aerea Ecuatoriana" From January 26 to February 28, 1995, Ecuador and Peru had a short armed conflict over a disputed area on their border. The conflict became known as the Cenepa War. During that period, on February 10, an Ecuadorian IAI Kfir shot down a Cessna A-37B Dragonfly. The canopy of that Dragonfly can be seen here. "Museo Aeronautico de la Fuerza Aerea Ecuatoriana" Telégrafo I. This is the aircraft with which Elia Liut, an Italian aviator, became the first man to fly across the Ecuadorian Andes. This was on November 4, 1920 and the flight took him from Guayaquil to Cuenca. Other than that, the HD-1 was a French WWI fighter which however mainly saw service with Belgium and Italy. FAE0-91647 (cn 159-159) "Museo Aeronautico de la Fuerza Aerea Ecuatoriana" Ex 49-1647, N9859C. This Trojan was converted from an -A to a -D model before going to the Ecuadorian Air Force in the 1970's. It is shown here heavily armed as though the Trojan was primarily a trainer it could also be used for armed missions, most notably counter-insurgency for which it proved to be very well suited.
