CF-TGE (cn 4544) After two years of restoration by the guys at Empire Aero Center, this classic airliner looks like she's ready to take on passengers. Arriving at EAC by truck in June 2007 in near derelict condtion, she has undergone a remarkable transformation. Kudo's to the folks at the Museum of Flight and EAC for saving the old girl from the scrapman! |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) The folks at EAC rolled the Super Connie back into the hangar the morning of my visit and were installed the tail section. Restoration is proceeding and should be completed in mid- to late-July. The aircraft will be painted in 1950's period TCA colors with its original registration CF-TGE. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) After a protracted battle with Canadian officials, the Museum of Flight was finally granted permission to move their Super Connie from Toronto to the US. The aircraft arrived at the Empire Air Service facility on June 7, 2007 on a convoy of flatbed trucks. EAS estimates it will take about a year to restore the aircraft after which she will be transported to the museum's Seattle facility by road. |

N522VA (cn 2811) Early morning shot of the new but yet to operate Virgin America sitting idle in chilly upstate NY. You can clearly see the morning frost covering the fuselage and cockpit windows. Will she every fly revenue? Only time will tell... |
