N505AA (cn 49799/1652) After waking up in Tuscon this morning, 505AA flew TUS-DFW-MSY-DFW-SLC, and is pictured here at 7:30 pm as American 1655. She's on final for 34R, finishing a long day of flying. She left SLC and made the 1,000-mile journey back to DFW the morning of the 30th, following an overnight stay in SLC.

N597FE (cn 48596/537) With a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 630,500 pounds, FedEx's MD-11 is SLC's largest regularly-scheduled visitor. FedEx 945 arrives on 34R from MEM at 7:20pm, about 90 minutes late (putting it right in the middle of golden hour). This route alternates with a DC-10; thanks to Memphis for sending us the big one tonight. First photo of an MD-11 at SLC!

155492 (cn 305-103) In recent months, the US navy special ops has been evaluating two modified Bronco light combat aircraft. As part of the Combat Dragon II program, it's aimed at demonstrating that a small, turboprop-powered warplane can be effective in “high end/special aviation” missions. And these two sole Broncos are seen sitting here at the TAC Air ramp at Salt Lake City. The "Black Pony" insignia on the nose is taken from the Vietnam-era VAL-4 light attack squadron, which also flew Broncos
