G-CGSU (cn LAA 034-12983) Dave Howell has relinquished his Andreasson BA-4 for this Airmark Cassutt. The tiny racer has a tailplane the size of a coffee table and a fin the size of a chessboard – it must take nerve to fly. Dave is seen here preparing to depart Shobdon on a day of air racing in which he didn’t actually take part. Although it’s a design dating from 1951, plans and kits are still available - this one was built in 2010. It is powered by a 100hp Continental O-200 flat four. |
