**-**** A 92 Bomb Wing BUFF returns from a training sortee. The nearly empty aircraft has a tendency to lean into a turn. Note the classic white-bottom B-52F in the distance. It was used as maintenance trainer. |

NX965AD / 126965/N-085 (cn 7765) Skyfest 2006, Fairchild AFB. This Douglas AD-4 was delivered to the l'Armee de l'Air in 1961. Between 1979 and 1983 the aircraft was in storage and from 1984 to 1984 the aircraft was at the Musee de l'Air in Le Bourget. The aircraft was privately owned and stationed at Brasschaat in Belgium from 1985 to 1996. In 2003 the aircraft was moved to the USA and belongs to the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham, WA. The F-18D (163763) belongs to VFA-125, the “Rough Raiders”. (Canon 350D + 100-400 L IS) |

N45366 / 268830/M2-R (cn 11757) Skyfest 2006, Fairchild AFB. This C-53D "Skytrooper" was built in 1943 for the USAAF as 42-68830, and went overseas on deployment. After the war this bird started its civilian career as NC45366. After having flown for several different companies, this aircraft was donated to the Commemorative Air Force in Midland,TX and assigned to the Inland Empire Wing in Riverside,CA. A full restoration of the aircraft began in 2002 and today it is in flying condition, wearing original D-Day colours. (Canon 350D + Sigma 18-125) |
