F-GJER (cn 10071-C) A lot of emotions for my friends Jeff and Steph as they touch down on this mythic aerodrome of Cap Juby, on the traces of St Exupery, in the framework of the rally "Toulouse - Saint-Louis du Senegal 2007"

Tarfaya - Cap Juby (TFY)
Morocco, October 8, 2007
Remark
Photographer
This is THE legendary aerodrome, part of the world heritage. Tarfaya - Cap Juby was headed by St Exupery as from 19 October 1927 where he wrote "Courrier Sud". The "Aeropostale" fleet was making a stop there, en route from Toulouse to South America. This aerodrome opens once a year to let the participants to the rally "Toulouse - St Louis du Senegal" land on this mythic place. I had the privilege to land and take-off there with my C210 this year.

Tarfaya - Cap Juby (TFY)
Morocco, October 8, 2007
Remark
Photographer
The legendary aerodrome of Tarfaya - Cap Juby. St Exupery was appointed in 1927 as head of this platform where the "Aeropostale" fleet was making a technical stop. This aerodrome is definitely closed but it opens once year to let the participants to the rally "Toulouse - St Louis du Senegal" land on this mythic RWY made of hard sand. Notice that the sides of the RWY are made of soft sand. The only place to park the planes is on the RWY sides! Take-offs and landings are made between the aircrafts...
