VH-ZOC / GA-Q (cn 28449) Unusual view of Propeller Tip Vortices being generated by P-40N Kittyhawk VH-ZOC at Temora in June 2009. Allan Arthur was taking off for a Formation Display with Temora Aviation Museum's Mk 16 Spitfire VH-XVI. Surprisingly, there were no vortices during the Spitfire's take-off, 30 seconds later. The P-40N is painted in RAAF 3 Squadron green livery, with Code GA-Q. (The 'Shark Mouth' Nose Art makes the Kittyhawk look angry.) |

VH-MHR / MHR / A46-122 (cn 945) Both of Matt Denning's Boomerang creations flew in formation at Temora in October 2009. CA-13 Boomerang VH-MHR (Suzy-Q) is shown taxying in after a formation flight with 'Miss Imogen' (VH-XBL/ LB-L/ A46-63). Matt took 28 years to build VH-MHR from bits. (The second Boomerang was built faster.) After selling VH-MHR to the Temora Aviation Museum, he still gets to fly it! This Australian designed and built Type is a regular participant in Temora Aviation Museum Flying Days. |
