VH-ICY (cn 40388) I helped get the kit this aircraft was built from out of its crate on 8 December 2005. Three short years later, and here it is! It was registered on 9 November 2007 and made its first flight just a couple of months before this photo was taken. Good work Chris & Susie! |

VH-EUW (cn U20601925) This Stationair has moved to a new operator and gained a new colour scheme since last photographed for the database. It was built in 1972 and initially allocated N50462 but in all probability never wore it as it was registered in Australia on 2 April 1973. Commando Skydivers was one of the first civil parachuting organisations in Australia, being formed in 1961. For many years it operated out of Pakenham before that DZ was closed and they moved to Tooradin. |

VH-UVB (cn DHA91) This colourful Tiger is ex A17-94, registered VH-ARW post-war. Unfortunately it crashed at Cairns on 26 October 1958 and the wreckage was placed in storage at Tully until the early 1970s. Recovered and restored in Brisbane, it was completed in 1990 and registered as VH-UVB on 21 June that year. It was operated by the late Barry Hempel at Archerfield for a time in the '90s and is currently occupied on joyride work at Tooradin. |

VH-CRN (cn 208B0428) This 1995 Caravan was orignally registered as N1288D until exported to Australia and registered VH-URT on 31 May 1995. On 21 August 1998 this aircraft suffered an in-flight engine failure and made a forced landing on a beach at Badu Island, Torres Strait, without damage. Operated by Uzu Air before coming south. |

VH-BWM (cn 557-79) I did my PPL training in this lovely aeroplane back in the early '90s. It was an absolute delight to fly, with 180hp, inverted fuel system, a constant-speed prop and spade ailerons. In fact, some of my wedding photos are taken beside this aircraft! Sick, eh? Built in 1979 and registered, probably new, on 28 March 1980. It's obviously awaiting a new engine at the moment. |

VH-TQN (cn 10385) Rare image of TAA F-27 Friendship VH-TQN 'John Batman' (Del: Dec 1968), during a demo flypast at Tooradin Airfield (with Port propeller feathered!) during an Open Day in 1971. This aircraft was acquired from Holland as PH-FNH and on completion of service with TAA, went to SAS in Dec 1984 as OY-KAC 'Vagn Viking'. Registration VH-TQN is now on a QantasLink DHC-8-102 Dash 8. |
