9A-BOL (cn 17269410) Vee One... Rotate! The aftermath of yesterday's heavy snows seen on an ironically beautiful, crisp and calm winter's day. The weight of almost 40 cm of snow, pushing down on the horizontal stabilizer's long moment arm, had meant that virtually all of our little birds had ended up on their tails overnight... |

D-ICEC (cn F337-0027/01337) Yesterday's snows had also added insult to injury for our resident derelict as well. Having struck the ground with its nose while landing a decade or so back, this poor Skymaster now ended up striking it with its tail as well... |

08-03775 (cn M-3775) "Crazy 22" preparing to swing round and head back towards the apron after a late afernoon rappelling exercise. Part of a four-strong US helicopter presence - including sister ship 07-03774 and two Navy MH-60S Knighthawks - 08-03775 was in town to participate in the Jackal Stone 12 NATO exercise. |

9A-HBM (cn 5569) Welcome to Bell country! The four-strong police fleet tucked neatly away in its warm and dry hangar. Out beyond HBM are 9A-HBZ and 9A-HDB - both JetRanger IIIs - while bringing up the rear is JetRanger II 9A-HBC, the second oldest operational helicopter in the country. |

C-FTNB (cn 57002) The eighth foreign helicopter - and the second GlobalRanger - to visit Lucko this year, C-FTNB is seen warm and dry in the police squadron hangar as a downpour rages outside. Fitted out with a full HEMS interior, this helicopter was in town for an official presentation to Police, Air Force and Mountain Rescue officials as a possible replacement for the country's (non-EASA compliant) Mi-171 fleet in EMS and SAR roles. |

9A-DMG (cn 17272625) Finally premiering its new panel layout in full interior night lighting (including all conceivable cabin lights). While not really the last word in cockpit technology, this avionics setup does make DMG one of the best - if not the best - equipped legacy Skyhawk in Croatia. The new radio stack includes a Garmin GNS 530 IFR GPS, SL 30 NAV/COM 2 radio and Trig TT31 Mode S transponder. Also hiding on the panel is a digital thermometer with an altitude alert function, as well as combined CHT/EGT digital gauge. |

S5-CMA (cn 791) The most interesting - and certainly the most hardworking - aircraft of this year's Lucko Airshow is seen taxiing out for its fourth skydive flight of the day. Quite a brutish looking thing from this angle! |

07-03774 (cn M3774) By far the most impressive visitor to our little airfield in years is seen hover taxiing to the helicopter start gates for a night mission using callsign "Crazy 21". An impressive piece of kit, this extremely rare special operations machine and its sister ship 08-03775 "Crazy 22" - both part of the US Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment - are in town to participate in the annual Jackal Stone 12 NATO exercise. |

D-HLTL (cn 6599) First two US Knighthawks and Chinooks, and now a Budespolizei EC-155 all in the space of several days - our sleepy little airfield really is becoming an international airport. Nicely showing off its fenestron tail rotor configuration - pioneered by one of Eurocopter's predecessors, Sud Avation of France - this rare type was visiting on what appeared to be a demonstration flight. |
