HK-4315 (cn 49968/1668) This Mad Dog which formerly belonged to Aero Republica was scheduled to be scrapped, its #1 engine having been removed shortly after arrival. Fortunately for this aircraft, a buyer from South Africa came along, and the plane was put back together and flown out just a couple weeks after I shot this photo. |

ZS-KKU (cn 38-80A0118) Resting at Cape Town International, in those years still called DF Malan Airport. I did my flying training on these two aircraft. The Warrior, ZS-LIP crashed near Gordons Bay. Fortunately nobody lost their lives. Unfortunately for me, due to illness, I had to stop flying, a great personal disaster for me. Good Hope Flying Club and Cape Aero Club later merged into one club. |
