VH-EBK (cn 21140/267) Qantas Boeing 747-238B VH-EBK (in original livery) being towed at Tullamarine in January 1980 (mid-Summer). The aircraft, Named 'City of Wollongong, was Delivered to Qantas on 07Nov1975. She was also leased to Fiji's Air Pacific as VH-EBK. After completion of Qantas service she was sold to United Airlines as N159UA in 1991. Low res photo. Apologies for the quality of this 29 year old photo. |

A20-624 (cn 19624/689) Window View (over Stbd wing) of RAAF 33 Sqn Boeing 707-338C Tanker A20-624, after take-off from Hickam AFB, Hawaii on 13Jun1994. The B707 was heading for Nadi Fiji (a 6.0 hour trip.) The Military Airfield below is NAS Barbers Point. There are 18 P-3 Orions on the concrete apron at center-left, and 18 more near the top of the photo. This base had more Orions than the entire RAAF P-3 fleet. Helicopters are also visible at left, as well as two C-130 Hercules near the shoreline. Low res photo. |

VH-EBK (cn 21140/267) This aircraft was nicknamed "The Fruit Tingle", after a local confectionery product which has similar coloured stripes on its wrapping. Although wearing Air Pacific titles from its lease to them, it is seen here temporarily back in Qantas service, during pushback & start. Has a full load of tourists heading to the island of Bali. VH-EBK first flew on 15 Aug 1975, delivered to Qantas 7.11.75, leased to Air Pacific (of Fiji) 3.85 - 5.89. Sold to United as N159UA 28.1.91, WFU May 2001 and broken up at Roswell, NM. |
