Hercules participated with other three brand-new C-130J from the same unit on parachute drop during the annual to remember the Market Garden Operation and flown from Eindhoven airport. 18 BLUE The last salute... Sadly, few minutes after two aircraft of 'Russian Knights' (Su-27UB and Su-27, 18 and 14) were lost in a midair collision during the training to MAKS '2009. Igor Tkachenko, the commander of 'Knights', tragically died. Two other pilots survived. Several people on the ground were injured because of this accident, unfortunately one woman died in a hospital later. |
