CP-1283 (cn 45527/1017) It looks like this old girl has spent another 2 decades sat motionless at El alto since this shot. La Cumbre is the name of a 15,000ft, switch-backing mountain pass that twists over the Andes NE of La Paz, and then drops down the other side into the Beni lowlands where much of the beef that was once hauled inside this beautiful old propliner is farmed.

EC-DCK (cn 45077) Left main gear sank into soft ground as it taxied a bit outside the tarmac. The Keflavik fire department came to the rescue with a couple of pneumatic lifting bags, so that something solid could be put under the wheels.
