141884 / 5 (cn 201) Now repainted into the color scheme of its counterpart at the Pima Air Museum in Tuscon, Arizona, this Grumman F-11F Tiger now sits on the flight deck of the USS Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum in New York City. The Blue Angels livery stands out nicely with the other US military aircraft behind, including the Lockheed A-12 (predecessor of the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird). It might be bitter cold outside, but that doesn't stop people from enjoying the aircraft displays at this museum. |

60-6940 (cn 134) "Museum of Flight" In your face!! This M-21 is a unique variant of the A-12, the earliest Blackbird type. Built for a CIA program code-named "Tagboard," the M-21 carried unpiloted vehicles for intelligence gathering. These drones were intended for launch from the M-21 "mother ship" for flights over hostile territories. [Nikon D700 / AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm] |
