715 (cn 220715) Collided with Mi-24D 579 over the Central Gunnery Range near Veszprem on 12nd April 2001. The crew managed to land safely but the other Hind crashed killing its crew. 715 was stored at the repair plant of the Army near Isaszeg; now it's sold and intended to be displayed in the future. |

D-ADII (cn 23775/1412) Suffering a heavy birdstrike during takeoff to Pristina. Approximately 200 starlings were sucked into the engines when they the flew straight into the path of the departing Boeing. The engine sound changed significantly and the plane returned to Dusseldorf safely after 45 minutes in the air. |

162603 / NE-103 (cn 525) VF-1 "Wolfpack", CVW-2, USS Ranger (CV-61), off Fremantle. This F-14 scored only air-to-air kill by an F-14 during Operation Desert Storm. On 06.02.1991, crewed by Lt. Stuart Broce & Cmdr Ron McElraftit, it shot down an Iraqi Mil Mi-8 helicopter, with an AIM-9 Sidewinder missile. This F-14 was written-off 23 June 2000 in the Pacific Ocean, 1400 mi SW of Hawaii, when with VF-211. It crashed into the sea after being launched from USS John C. Stennis, possibly due to a cold cat shot. Crew ejected safely. |

A7-054 / 54 (cn CA30-54) RAAF Roulettes Aerobatic Team. The Team Leader, Roulette One (A7-054), leads A7-079 and A7-090 in a group take-off from RAAF Fairbairn. (Canberra Airport hangars are visible at rear.) A7-054 was involved in a mid-air collision with A7-049 during formation aerobatics over East Sale in March 1988. The pilot of A7-049 ejected safely, and A7-054 was skillfully landed 'wheels-up' after the nose wheel bay was damaged in the collision. (A7-054 was Delivered to the RAAF in July 1969).
