Remark
Photographer
154803 / MQ (cn 2410) This Marine Corps CH-46E helicopter was the aircraft that lifted the US Ambassador at the time, Graham Martin, from the roof of the US Embassy during the Fall of Saigon in April of 1975. Today it still bears the color scheme of the Vietnam era and flys for HMM-774 based out of NAS Norfolk in Virginia.

Boeing Vertol CH-46E Sea Knight (107-II)
Edwards - AFB (EDW / KEDW)
USA - California, October 22, 2005
Remark
Photographer
154803 / MQ-411 (cn 2410) A lot of history in here: This helicopter lifted the US ambassador off the roof in Saigon in 1975. According to the friendly crew of HMM-774,'Honkers' based at NS Norfolk, VA, this is the only Sea Knight operating in these Vietnam style green retro colours. And when leaving the heli watch your step, the ramp may be slippery....
