162572 / WP-20 Quite a flock of "birds" on the old VA-205 ramp that day! A standard Harrier II is joined by some very newly converted Harrier II+'s of Marine Attack Sqn. 223 Bulldogs (the first unit to receive the Harrier II+ with ex-F/A-18 APG-65 radars) from Cherry Point, NC. The Bureau Number for the identified aircraft at the head of the line is actually assigned to an AH-1W SuperCobra, according to Auto Complete and my own sources, yet another photo showing the tail clearly displays the number I selected. |
