19200 (cn 100) The only Mark 3 Sabre built, it was used as a test aircraft for the Orenda Canada jet engine. It has some other history associated with it....Jacqueline Cochran became the first woman to break the sound barrier flying this aircraft. |

19200 (cn 100) Originally the 100th MK.2 Canadair Sabre. It was converted to the only MK.3 with the installation of the Avro Orenda engine. 19200 was used by Jacqueline Cochran to set a women's speed record of 652.552 mph over a 100-km closed course at Edwards AFB On June 3, 1952. On display at the Reynolds Aviation Museum. |
