Lockheed M-21
Seattle - Boeing Field / King County International (BFI / KBFI)
USA - Washington, August 31, 2009
Remark
Photographer
60-6940 (cn 134) "Museum of Flight" In your face!! This M-21 is a unique variant of the A-12, the earliest Blackbird type. Built for a CIA program code-named "Tagboard," the M-21 carried unpiloted vehicles for intelligence gathering. These drones were intended for launch from the M-21 "mother ship" for flights over hostile territories. [Nikon D700 / AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm]

Lockheed M-21
Seattle - Boeing Field / King County International (BFI / KBFI)
USA - Washington, September 2006
Remark
Photographer
60-6940 (cn 134) The M-21 is a variant of the Blackbird modified to carry drones. These drones were for flights over areas that were thought of as too dangerous for pilots to fly through, even at Mach 3 and as high as 85000 feet.
