61-7972 (cn 2023) Arrived at the SBAC show on 01Sep1974 after a record breaking flight New York-London (3488 miles) in 1 hr., 54 min. and 56,4 sec. at 80.000 feet with an average speed of 1817 mph. Twelve days later she flew the 5645 miles from London to Los Angeles in 3 hr., 37 min. and 39 sec. at an average speed of 1480 mph, this time slowed down by two air refuellings and speed limits over US cities. |
