62-5866 (cn 25B) The low morning sun graces this Mohawk as it leaves the NAS Atlanta transit line. The color scheme is the regulation Army arctic/desert/jungle finish though this was not often seen on Mohawks. However, the markings are even more unusual as it was one of a handful assigned to the U.S. Naval Test Pilots School at Patuxent River, MD. This was one of two Mohawks leaving that day to complete their one-way trip to the "boneyard" at D-M, as all OV-1A's were then being phased out. |
