The Wing’s aircraft carry the RAF Mildenhall station crest on their tail fins. This particular aircraft entered service in 1963 and may well have been one of the USAF jets that kept me awake as a small child living in a cottage near the end of the runway at RAF Brize Norton, then a SAC nuclear bomber base… |
