68-0337 / HO (cn 3381) In 1972, Captain Steve Ritchie shot down 5 Mig 21s to become the only USAF pilot ace of the Vietnam War. This was one of two F-4Es (68-0531 the other), specially painted in Vietnam era markings, at the USAF 50th anniversary Airshow at Nellis AFB in April 1997. Please note the five red stars on the intake, representing the 5 air to air kills by Steve Ritchie. |
