79-0199 / EL (cn A10-0463) This is a close up shot of the nose of an A-10 Thunderbolt at the 1987 Air Show America event at Will Rogers World Airport at the home of the FAA in Oklahoma City. This plane was in the 23rd. Fighter interceptor Wing whose heritage goes back to the Flying Tigers of World War II which eventually became the 23rd. Fighter Group. I thought it was cool that they still paint the tiger teeth on their planes.
