80-0024 (cn 668/C173) Fully laden with 3 fuel tanks and almost a full complement of ordinance. 123rd Fighter Squadron Redhawks Oregon Air National Guard. Returns after a mass 13-ship launch. Part of a ORI Operational Readiness Inspection. One looks closely one can see the tan color on the fuselage next to the horizontal stabilizer. Also by the intakes as this was a former 65th AGRS bird. Before it migrated north to Oregon to its new home from a more southerly climate of the desert of Nevada. |

80-0024 (cn 668/C173) 123rd Fighter Squadron Redhawks Oregon Air National Guard. If you look closely. The variable ramp for the intakes are in the down position. You can see the tan lines running vertically on the intakes. Showing its former color from living at Nellis for the years before it migrated North. |

80-0024 (cn 668/C173) They say MDD engineers added flaps to the Eagle as an afterthought, because the wing generated so much lift it did not need them. This takeoff shot shows that it really doesn't. (Nikon D200 + Nikkor 300/4 AF-S) |
