925 black (cn 600) This Russian MiG-29 plummets towards the the ground like a flaming comet trailing smoke and burning fuel having collided with her sister 526 during their air display at the 1993 International Air Tattoo. |

925 black The famous crash seen from the north side of the base, from the top of a 'photo bus'. The most scaring event I have ever seen during an airshow. While I took this photo the other doomed MiG flew over my head. |

925 black The mortal remains of MiG-29 925 burn fiercely seconds after she touched earth for the final time on the 24th July 1993. To the left can be seen French C-130H 5140, Belgian C-130H CH-04 and Italian G222 MM62130; had the MiG fallen just a few meters to the left, well who knows what would have been? Perhaps it *was* my 'lucky day', I just did not know it at the time. |

925 black The moment my heart stopped! A Russian MiG-29 925 has just smashed into the ground having collided with her sister 526 during their air display at the 1993 IAT. At this point I thought the pilot was still in the plane though he had already escaped without injury. If you look carefully to the right of the photo the MiG's tail fin can be seen bouncing away from the wreckage and other flying debris is visible. A moment I will never forget. |

925 black FRI. Quite a few pictures of these MiGs when they crashed. If anybody wonders what they looked like before, here's 925 waiting to take off on his practice display the previous day. Quite a good display as I recall. |
