9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) The reverse color scheme of AirAsia maybe better than regular one. |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) One of the better looking variants of the Air Asia colour scheme. Used to have a red nose, but after a landing incident in 2003 was blamed on the red nose(!!!) which is considered bad luck, she got a white nose! [Nikon D70] |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) Carrying the special colours of the low-cost carrier, this B737-300 was ready to depart for Bangkok at 1100LT. Being a LCC, this aircraft has stayed less than an hour for loading and unloading at MFM. |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) Air Asia has been expanding very rapidly in the past year. Last year this might be all of Air Asia's fleet, now it represents only 25% of her fleet. And in 3 different schemes too! |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) I've always found this the strangest livery on AK's multi liveried fleet. She originally had a red nose section too but, due to superstition, was repainted white after a landing incident in Nov 03. Seen here operating for Thai Air Asia, a newly formed subsidiary operating out of BKK, although crew and aircraft are drawn from the fleet based in KUL. [EOS 10D, EF 24-70L] |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) Within weeks of entry into service with AirAsia, this ex US Airways aircraft which originally had its body red extended to its nose cone, was involved in a landing incident on Nov 4 03 at Alor Star where several tyres were blown. Rumor has it that they painted the nose white a la 9M-AAG for superstitious reasons that their new variant of schemes was of bad luck. |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) Perhaps the most unremarkable livery of Air Asia's colorful fleet of 737s. This aircraft originally sported a red nose section before it was painted white following a Nov 4, 03 landing incident at WMKA (Alor Star) where several tyres were blown on the landing roll. Ex US Air N342US. [Canon 10D, EF 100-400L] |

9M-AAJ (cn 23511/1268) Landing on runway 32L. This aircraft was involved in a landing incident in Alor Star (AOR / WMKA) on Nov 4th. This is the only photo of this short-lived color scheme on Airliners.net. |
