C-GCGT (cn 1003) Built as the third prototype of the original Challenger aircraft and test flown in July 1979,it was modified in 1981–82 and 1993–94 to serve as the prototype of the following two versions of the Challenger. The Montreal-based company used this aircraft between 1999 and 2004 to build up its expertise in fly-by-wire control system design. Donated to the Canadian Aviation Museum in Feb 2006 |

C-GCGT (cn 1003) Former prototype and experimental aircraft with Bombardier and now the latest addition to the National Aviation Museum collection having flown in just few days ago from Wichita, Kansas. This aircraft has a red pitot boom and a parachute that can be deployed after the jettison of the tail cone. |
