CF-RNR (cn 4544) The folks at EAC rolled the Super Connie back into the hangar the morning of my visit and were installed the tail section. Restoration is proceeding and should be completed in mid- to late-July. The aircraft will be painted in 1950's period TCA colors with its original registration CF-TGE. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) After a protracted battle with Canadian officials, the Museum of Flight was finally granted permission to move their Super Connie from Toronto to the US. The aircraft arrived at the Empire Air Service facility on June 7, 2007 on a convoy of flatbed trucks. EAS estimates it will take about a year to restore the aircraft after which she will be transported to the museum's Seattle facility by road. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) This is Super Connie's nosewheel which has decoupled from the fuselage. The nosewheel is still at where it is. But the fuselage has been put on the ground, which could be seen in the background. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) After lunch, when Mr Jian Tan and I drove westbound on Derry Rd., we suddenly found this Super Connie's fuselage had been placed on racks and enlaced by cords, on the ground. It looks like it is ready to be transported to other place. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) For the many folk following the interesting saga of this particular newsworthy Connie, the deconstruction has reached this stage. Tail and port wing gone, as well as engines, nose cone, and various smaller items. Its future is still undecided at submission time (Feb 24). More pics from this date on myaviation.net. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) Unfortunately only had my Sony H-1 for this shot! You'd think someone would pre-measure. The tail was far too long for this flatbed! |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) The sun is setting on Toronto's Super Connie. Former TCA Constellation that ended up as the Airplane Restaurant. Nice concept! Wrong plane!! Too narrow~ Still a great classic and will be missed by many in Toronto. Good luck wherever you end up. Dismantling is being done presently for Air Canada who, rumor has it, will repaint her in her former TCA glory. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) An update picture on a beautiful sunny day! This derelict Connie is being dismantled, and is said to be going to a museum in Seattle following refurbishment by Air Canada. This is the former Trans Canada Air Lines CF-TGE, the last remaining TCA Connie. It has not flown in decades. |

CF-RNR (cn 4544) Former TCA Connie CF-TGE. No registration currently carried. Its days as a restaurant are long over and the Connie sits deserted on a traffic island at the north end of the airport. Last flew with World Wide Airways as CF-RNR during the mid 1960's. |
