British Airways
Hawker Siddeley HS-121 Trident 3B
London - Heathrow (LHR / EGLL)
UK - England, November 16, 1974
Remark
Photographer
G-AWZG (cn 2308) The most numerous users of Heathrow throughout the 'seventies were the Tridents of BEA and its successor British Airways. This picture shows a Trident 3B (still wearing its BEA livery but with British Airways titles) turning in towards its gate on arrival at Heathrow on a cold November afternoon as the light fades. This view shows the Trident’s curiously off-set nosewheel to advantage. In the background, an Air India 747 and a British Airtours 707 queue to depart as an HS125 taxies in.
