G-AZMF (cn 240) The history of the BAC One-Eleven and Bournemouth Airport are inextricably linked. The first production aircraft rolled off the production line here in July-1963. A total of 235 aircraft were built, with the last delivery in May-1984. The final scheduled 1-11 services in Europe were operated by G-AZMF, flying skiers from Bournemouth to Turin in 2002. Now retired, she is proudly preserved at her birthplace, in the Bournemouth Aviation Museum. |

G-AZMF (cn 240) Built in Bournemouth in 1972 and making her last ever flight on 31st March 2002, G-AZMF survives here at her birthplace as a museum exhibition along side such aircraft as the Sea Vixen and Folland Gnat. MF` is seen here in the process of getting her bi-monthly clean which today included testing her Lighting Systems & manually deploying her flaps. Dedicated to Peter Clark, David Spalton and Mark Empson of whom I worked with this weekend. |
