AeroChago
Lockheed C-121G Super Constellation (L-1049B)
Miami - International (Wilcox Field / 36th Street / Pan American Field) (MIA / KMIA)
USA - Florida, June 5, 1990
Remark

HI-583CT (cn 4137) A Constellation in flight… Sheer grace and beauty. If only today's boring Boeing/Airbus shapes could be replaced by this...!
This is what Miami used to be like as recently as the early 1990s. This Connie, and another one, then a DC-7 and a Mexican DC-6 would all pass this point on short final runway 09L within 20 minutes… Paradise!

HI-583CT (cn 4137) During my visit this Connie was flying the 1 hour cargo run to Borinquen Airport in Puerto Rico. Here you see her warming up her Wright R3350s engines before take off. (ex: US Navy 54-4062 and N2114Z)

Dominican Republic, April 13, 1994
Remark
Photographer
HI-583CT (cn 4137) Aerochago's beautiful second Super Connie came from U.S. Air Force stocks at the beginning of the '90s. It didn't see service for long before being grounded, but it was the one survivor from Santo Domingo's propliner graveyard. HI-583CT was resurected by the Constellation Flyers, flown to Avra Valley in Arizona to be fully restored to flight condition, and should be exhibited on the European air show circuit based out of Basle
