N106US (cn 1044) A shot at the damaged front end of the US Airways A-320. Shortly after take-off it is believed the plane hit a flock of geese causing dual engine failure. The airplane was successfully ditched in the Hudson River and all 155 passengers and crew survived. In this picture, there is evidence of a bird strike on the windscreen along with damage sustained to the nosecone from the rescue boats and ferries. |
