N127NK (cn 47361/488) Would be great to catch a ride (or dive) on this hot rod. This -21 series previously flew with Allegiant Air. |

N127NK (cn 47361/488) Jumping out of a Cessna is just plain boring ... why not do it with style? Taking off with this DC-9 'pocket rocket' on this short and narrow runway may be even more fun than jumping out at 13,000 feet. Too bad I didn't see any movement there, because the fence is right next to the runway. Should be fun to watch! |

N127NK (cn 47361/488) The -21 was known as the hot-rod DC-9, because it had the fuselage (and therefore weight) of the -10 series nine, but the wings and engines of the larger -30 series. Not many were built, and all started life with Scandinavian. Several made it out of Scandinavia to the US and were operated by ValuJet and Allegiant Air. Allegiant Air have now retired their -21 to Victorville, where it can be seen with a 757, a TWA 717 and a former American/Reno Air MD-80 in the background |
