N339TE (cn 935) When I was a kid I would visit my grandparents every summer. One leg of the trip was always on TWA from St. Louis to Champaign, Illinois. These are the birds I would fly on. Finding them in Kingman really stirs up great memories. |

N339TE (cn 935) WOW! This bird has history! 8/12/91 This J32 had a hydr line fail causing the left main landing gear to fail on approach in St. Louis. Pilots couldn't get it down using emergency checklist and hand to land without it. Plane sustained damage with no injuries. NSTB faulted pilots and faulty hydr line design. This bird is owned by Wells Fargo and hopefully may fly again! No pics of this AC in database. |
