N441J (cn 45988/416) Parked at position F231 catching the first sunrays of a cold January morning. "Big A" DC-8's were pretty frequent visitors in those days, mostly operating cargo services for Lufthansa. This aircraft was originally delivered to Iberia as EC-BMZ 12/68. Went to Arrow Air as N941JW 12/83 and rr N441J 4/87. To Fine Air in 2001 but back with the Arrow brand in mid 2002. Eventually transfered to Arrow Panama as HP-441WAP 9/07. 747's of Qantas (VH-EBQ) and Pan Am can be seen in the background. |

N441J (cn 45988/416) Arrow Air DC-8s park at Miami. OK..., fine. Oh, wait! There are SIX of them including new livery. OK..., good. Oh, wait! Listen!! All of them are still equipped with original JT3D-3B engines. Moreover, it was not Kingman, Marana, Mojave, Roswell, Victorville, but Miami. These DC-8s were all active when this photograph was taken in 2004. No way!? How many times could it be possible to take six DC-8 parking together in one frame in 2004?
