Remark
Photographer
N6763 / 43-11719 (cn 296E1-1R) Ex 43-11719 owned by Commemorative Air Force. This aircraft must rank as the most rare warbird flying today, simply because she is one of only two of her type ever produced. Two P-63Fs (out of a total production of 3,303 P-63s of all variants) were ever manufactured, making N6763 one of the most improbable warbirds to survive the war, let alone remain in flying condition.

Commemorative Air Force
Bell P-63F Kingcobra
Houston - Ellington Field (AFB) (EFD)
USA - Texas, October 16, 2004
Remark
Photographer
N6763 / 43-11719 (cn 296E1-1R) One of the rarest warbirds flying still flying. Although superficially resembling the Aircobra it was a completely new design to correct the Aircobra's deficiencies at high altitude. Performance was inferior to the Mustang, hence the Kingcobra never saw combat with the USAF.
