N77302 (cn 7302) The ever-changing interisland market saga continues, with the latest development being the merger of go! (Mesa Airlines) and Mokulele Airlines (Republic) in October 2009, after the two carriers filed lawsuits against each other a year before. With the demise of Aloha Airlines, Mokulele Airlines expanded and became another major interisland carrier, acquiring smart Embraer EMB-170s and Cessna 208B Grand Caravans. After the merger, the Embraer jets were ferried out of Hawaii, leaving the new airline with a fleet of CRJ-200s (pictured) and Cessna Caravans. The Mokulele titles were simply slapped on after the go! titles, and thus the name “go! Mokulele” was born!
