N9815M Last charter of the year to Anchorage...And boy, did it take a while with the headwinds. Take a look at the GS on the GPS and compare it to the AI.

N9815M Nice "sunny" day to end the year with. Unfortunately, as with clear days in winter, the wind howls. This is looking at the Kenai Mountains and the 40 knot winds taking the snow off the tops.

Homer Air
Cessna U206F Stationair II
Nanwalek (KEB)
USA - Alaska, September 17, 2003
Remark
Photographer
N9815M On final approach to runway 19. Look closely and you can see what kind of wild approach is required for this notorious 1800ft airstrip. The approach to 19 is flown over the main road in town and then the landing is accomplished while in the turn! And as you can see, the approach to runway 1 needs a sharp left bank to miss the mountain on the other end. All in all, good fun!
