NX211 (cn 29) This photo was taken on August 5, 1927 at Wilbur Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio by my great great grandfather. This particular visit of Charles Lindbergh was a scheduled stop as part of the Guggenheim Tour. If you look closely under the wing and above the head of the gentleman with his hand on the wing strut, you can clearly see Lindbergh, complete with his flying cap and goggles. I am very lucky to have inherited such a striking photo and it is my pleasure to share it with the aviation community! |
