NX712Z / X-133 (cn 3869) What a sight, as these two Warbirds square off against each other in a flyby at the '05 "Wings over Gillespie" Airshow. The green Zero is one of the last flying examples in the world, and is immaculately restored and maintained. The Grumman Hellcat (N1078Z) is just a beauty and a huge crowd-pleaser. |

NX712Z / X-133 (cn 3869) Shot at the annual EAA Camarillo air show. This year the CAF's Zero and FM2 Wildcat (N5833, in British Martlett c/s) staged a mock dogfight for the crowd. They were not as close as the picture makes them seem. |

NX712Z / X-133 (cn 3869) A very special shot, which instantly reminded me of the movie "The Final Countdown" (thanks Chad). In that movie, an entire Carrier goes back into time, just before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. There was a scene in it with F-14s dogfighting with Zero's. Good to find out that this is indeed a true Zero and not a replica! |

NX712Z / X-133 (cn 3869) This rare and beautiful Zero is one of only three flying Zeros in the world. This plane was found on New Guinea (now Indonesia), near the town of Babo. It was restored partly in Russia, and partly in the U.S. and is based at CAF – SoCAL Wing Aviation Heritage Museum, Camarillo. Owner is David Price. |
