Photo ID: 1240858 Views: 69367 Aircraft Location & Date Sudan Airways Boeing 707-348C Off-Airport - River Nile Sudan, 1982 Remark Photographer ST-AIM (cn 19410/599) This Sudan Air 707 was purchased from Air Lingus and during the transfer from Ireland crash landed on the Nile in Khartoum. The pilot mistook the moonlit river for the nearby runway. Accident occured on 10_Sep-1982. The plane was stripped bare within days by the locals. Chris Wells Contact Link to me!
