VH-TBM (cn 21171/1232) A rare 1977 Cabin View, looking forward, in TAA's near-new Stretched Boeing 727-276 VH-TBM (Named 'Albert Namatjira'). Photo taken during a 1.4 hour flight between Brisbane and Townsvillle, while passing the Whitsunday Islands. The passenger load was very low that day. VH-TBM was Delivered to TAA on 18Nov1976 ex N40124, and sold by Australian Airlines as XA-SLG on 05Oct1993. Low res 32 year old photo. Apologies for quality. |

VH-TBM (cn 21171/1232) TAA had actually been renamed as Australian Airlines, but this aircraft (and most of the service vehicles) had not yet been repainted. ff 4.11.76, del 18.11.76 to TAA, named "Albert Namitjira". Std 20.12.92 Melbourne. To XA-SLG AeroExo 5.10.93, later lsd to Aviacsa. Made last commercial passenger Boeing 727 service in México on 3 Sep 2006. |
