Remark
Photographer
XL189 Seen here with 55 Sqdn, seven years later this Victor was to play a crucial role with 57 Sqdn in the first 'Black Buck' raid on the Falklands by Vulcan XM607, under the command of Sqdn Ldr Bob 'Tux' Tuxford who gained the AFC for his heroics. Full story in the book 'Vulcan 607'.

Handley Page Victor K2 (HP-80)
Woodford (EGCD)
UK - England, 1974
Remark
Photographer
XL189 This aircraft had been converted to a K Mk 2 tanker. This was my place of work where I should not have taken photographs but somehow I managed this one, probably shortly before I stopped working there. The original slide has faded really badly.

Handley Page Victor K2 (HP-80)
Woodford (EGCD)
UK - England, Mid 1970's
Remark
Photographer
XL189 It was fairly unusual to see a flying display by a Victor but this aircraft was about to take-off for one at a Woodford Airshow. They were converted to K M2 (tankers) at this airfield and, though I can't remember, I guess that this was one such aircraft prior to its return to the Air Force.
