LX-FCV (cn 19658/47) This plane only existed in this hybrid colour scheme for about 3 months ... leased from Lion Air ... hence the colour scheme. And it was a dreadful day at LGW ... but this was the only way to get this shoot !!! |

LX-FCV (cn 19658/47) Left side in CRL c/s. For the story, CRL negociated some agreements with LIB until Nouvelles Frontières jumped on the band wagon by purshasing CRL and eventually rebrand the airline as Corsair !! |

N754PA (cn 19658/47) "Clipper Ocean Rover". On 11-Aug-1982 it was PA830 (Tokyo-Honolulu) when a bomb planted under a seat exploded, killing a 16-year-old boy. The explosive made a small hole in the fuselage: the plane was repaired and put back into service. |

N754PA (cn 19658/47) Rare (low res) 1970 view of Pan Am B747-121 N754PA (Clipper Ocean Rover) docked at Sydney's then new International Terminal, which was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 03May1970. The First Boeing 747 arrived in Sydney / Australia on 04Oct1970, two months before. That was Pan Am N734PA, and the second B747 arrival was N741PA a few days later. (N754PA flew for Pan Am from May 1970 to December 1986.) |

N754PA (cn 19658/47) Pan Am's B747-121 N754PA taxies away from Sydney's new International Terminal. The First Boeing 747 arrived in Australia on 04Oct1970, two months before. This aircraft has been heavily used, and is definitely in need of a wash. (To date, the only Pan Am B747 shown in Sydney in the Airliners.net database was N751PA. This photo, and others of N741PA prove that N751PA was not 'Robinson Crusoe' - other Pan Am B747 'Clippers' had visited Sydney.) Across Rwy16/34 are an Ansett-ANA Electra, an F-28 and two DC-3s. |
