D-ABYM (cn 21588/342) On board LH oldest 742 currently in service, enroute to BOS as LH422. It took us almost 45min and 31000 feet to finally break through the clouds after take off. The weather over Western Europe was terrible but for the remainder of the flight we had blue skies and excellent flight conditions. Whatever people say about the LH service. I found it excellent. Thanks to Cpt Heinz and his crew. |

D-ABYM (cn 21588/342) Life can be beautiful........flying Business Class and having the chance of going up to the flight deck of the greatest airliner ever built, what else can you wish for? A touchdown / take off. I found it more and more difficult to get Jump seat ok. It used to be a lot easier years back. |

D-ABYM (cn 21588/342) After 4 meals, 1 1/2 movies, a flight deck visit and some chatting with the F/A's we still had to fly 2 more hrs. On the way I saw this and had to take a picture. It has been a while since I have looked at the engines of a 747 but this really was impressive. |
