My home airport, taken from the Mont Saint-Michel. Note the glider on short final for runway 33. As you can see, this is a tricky field : quite close to the mountains (I was almost directly above when I took the shot), and surrounded by the city. You don't want to have an engine failure on take off (the only way out would be to land on the small hill on the left of the take-off path - incidently, that's exactly where a single a DR400 crashed last winter after a stall on take-off) |
