N217FE (cn 22938/1832) When I got the phone call that 217 was going to be here, the last 727 built, I could hardly contain my joy. I had trouble sleeping the night before I took this shot, but it turned out exactly as I hoped it would. |

N8911E (cn 45825/67) (First delivered to Eastern Airlines on Nov 1966) This was the first time for me to travel with Baby Nine, which enabled me to complete the experiences on all DC-9/MD-80/-90/B717 series. Since the Baby Nine does not have leading edge flaps, the approaching speed /pitch was different from other types, which reminds me DC-8. This shot was taken shortly after landing at Detroit after 23 min flight from Cleveland as NW1833. Nothing is more exciting than traveling with the jetliners being older than my age. |
